This privacy policy explains which personal data Webseed collects through this website, why, and what your rights are.
1. Who we are
Webseed is a web development company. We are the controller for the personal data described in this policy.
- Webseed, Kade 14, 8855 HZ Sexbierum, the Netherlands
- Chamber of Commerce (KvK): 90224280
- VAT number: NL004798408B62
- Email: Show email address
2. What we collect
Contact form. When you send us a request we receive your name, your email address, what you need, your message, and your company name and phone number (both optional). We only ask for what we need to answer you.
Spam protection. To protect the form against abuse we keep a counter per internet connection. It is stored in a scrambled (hashed) form that we cannot read back to an IP address, and it is deleted automatically within one hour. The form does not use reCAPTCHA or any other third-party service.
Server logs. Our web server records technical data for every page request: IP address, date and time, the page requested and your browser type. We use it only for security and troubleshooting and keep it for up to eight weeks.
What we do not collect. This website has no user accounts, no newsletter, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. It sets no cookies and loads no content from other websites (fonts, scripts and images are hosted by us). The only thing stored in your browser is your choice between business and private prices, in session storage for the current tab; it is never sent to us.
3. Why we use your data and on which legal basis
- To read and answer your request and, when you ask for it, to prepare an agreement with you: handling your request and taking steps at your request before entering into a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR), and our legitimate interest in answering people who contact us (Article 6(1)(f)).
- To keep the website secure, working and free of spam, and to find technical errors: our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f)).
- To meet legal obligations, for example the tax rules for invoices if you become a customer (Article 6(1)(c)).
4. Who receives your data
We do not sell your data and we do not share it with third parties for their own purposes. Your request is stored on our own server and delivered to our own mailbox. If you become a customer, the data we need for the agreement and for invoicing is processed as described in our terms.
5. How long we keep your data
- Requests from the contact form: deleted automatically 12 months after we received them. If you ask us to delete your request earlier, we do so.
- Email correspondence about your request: as long as needed to answer you, and no longer than 12 months, unless you become a customer.
- If you become a customer: invoices and accounting records for 7 years, as required by Dutch tax law.
- Server logs: up to eight weeks.
6. Where your data is stored
Your data is stored on servers that we manage ourselves, in the Netherlands, within the European Economic Area
7. Cookies
This website does not use cookies. More information is in our Cookie statement.
8. Your rights
You have the right to access your personal data, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict its use, to receive it in a portable format and to object to processing that is based on our legitimate interest. To use one of these rights, email us at Show email address. We answer within one month. We may ask you to confirm your identity first.
9. Security
The website is served over HTTPS. Access to requests and to our servers is limited to the people who need it, and we keep the software on our servers up to date.
10. Questions and complaints
If you have a question about this policy, contact us at Show email address. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl).
11. Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version.
